Choosing which pages to monitor

Monitor the pages where a silent break costs money or trust: the homepage, pricing, checkout or enquiry path, your top organic landing pages, and anything with a form. Skip pages that change constantly by design, like a blog index or a news feed - they generate noise without telling you anything you did not expect.

Start with the pages that carry revenue

  • Homepage - the page most likely to be edited by someone other than you.
  • Pricing - a wrong price is the most expensive kind of silent change.
  • Checkout, booking or enquiry pages - where a missing button costs a sale directly.
  • Your best-performing organic landing pages - if you use Search Console, MyKavo can show you which ones those are.
  • Any page carrying a third-party script you depend on: analytics, tag manager, payment, chat.

Pages that are usually a poor use of a slot

  • Blog indexes, news feeds and anything paginated - they change on purpose, constantly.
  • Pages with rotating testimonials, carousels or personalised content, unless you mask the volatile region.
  • Staging or preview URLs that are meant to change.
  • Near-identical template pages - monitor two or three representative ones rather than forty.

If a page you need is noisy

You do not have to give up on it. Use ignored selectors to exclude an element from comparison entirely, or screenshot masks to paint over a region so it cannot trigger a visual difference. A page with a live counter or an ad slot is perfectly monitorable once that region is excluded.
